Pianist and Composer

Lorenzo Carulli is an Italian Pianist who has combined his passion and artistic commitment between classical and original music.

 

He began his academic career at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, graduating with the highest honours and distinction in his Masters. In the following years, he moved to Milan to attend the Master in “Opera coach and Assistant Conductor” at Teatro alla Scala Academy, which allowed him to deeply focus on advanced collaborative Piano techniques under the guidance of leading international accompanists (James Vaughan, Enza Ferrari, Vincenzo Scalera), world renowned performers (Leo Nucci, Ambrogio Maestri, Luciana D'Intino, Eva Mei, Fabian Schofrin, Victoria Karkacheva) and internationally acclaimed conductors (Daniel Oren, Ádám Fischer, Diego Fasolis, Alberto Malazzi, Ekaterina Vasheruk).

Up to the present time, beside his pianist and vocal coaching career, Lorenzo has also managed to concentrate on his activity as music composer, which over the years allowed him to obtain numerous national and international awards: among the latest received, a special prize from the Amici della Musica Society of Verona at the Elsa Respighi Competition (chamber duo) held in Verona; production prize from Estro Musicale Foundation of Milan for the best original piece, second prize as a soloist at the eighth edition of the Mirabello in Musica competition, and others.

In the last year, his first two discographic works have been published: "Present Past", music album of original compositions for Piano solo, and "Suite des sentiments", an original orchestral suite, published by ©Aulicus classics.
