Rising Artist
Lorenzo Carulli, pianist and composer who has combined his passion and artistic commitment between classical and original music.
He graduated from the Conservatory "Santa Cecilia" in Rome with the highest honours and distinction in his Masters. Later he moved to Milan, where he attended the Master in “Opera coach and Assistant Conductor” at Teatro alla Scala Academy. From this moment on, he worked in some of the most famous venues both in Italy and abroad (Teatro alla Scala, Bolshoi Theatre, Shangyin Opera House) beside world renowned performers, such as Leo Nucci, Ambrogio Maestri, Luciana D'Intino, Eva Mei, Fabian Schofrin, Victoria Karkacheva, James Vaughan, Vincenzo Scalera, and internationally acclaimed conductors: Daniel Oren, Ádám Fischer, Diego Fasolis.
He also appeared as performer for a numerous of institutions: Teatro Vittoria (Roma), Amici della Musica di Firenze, Società letteraria di Verona, Rotary Club International, Soroptimist International d’Italia, Teatro Greco (Roma), Lazio inScena, Promu – All for Music, FAO Staff Coop, LUMSA, Diocesi di Roma, Umbria classica.
His activity as pianist, vocal coach and composer granted him several national and international awards; among the latest received: a special prize from the Amici della Musica Society of Verona at the Elsa Respighi Competition (chamber duo); production prize from Estro Musicale Foundation in Milan for best original score, third prize at FM Contest for the best original score (Theatre Music category), second prize as a soloist at the 8th edition of the Mirabello in Musica competition, and others.
In the last year, his first two discographic works have been published: "Present Past", music album of original compositions for Piano solo, and "Suite des sentiments", an original orchestral suite, published by ©Aulicus classics.
